Welcome Address
Prof. Richard Stallman
Welcome to 'Free Lecture Notes'. This site provides quality
lecture
notes that you are free to edit and/or redistribute.
Inspired by Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, and the Free Software
Movement, this site invites professors to post their lecture notes for
their courses, thus creating the beginning of a world of free
educational materials.
You are requested to create an author page that clearly elucidates your
field of expertise, affiliation etc. When ever you create an article please
provide you name in author section as shown in the 'sample note page'*. If
you are just editing an existing note (say to remove a typing error), then
you cannot include your name along with the name of the author. And if you
want to add a section to an existing note, please provide a link at the
relevant place of the mother article and write the section in a new page.
Administrators will do the required edits to incorporate it along with the
main article, if necessary.
Once we have handsome number of notes, we will categorize and group them
under various portals where every participating university (depending on the
author's affiliation) will have separate portals. So people can select even
the University while selecting the branch of interest.
You can also submit your lectures in audio or video format, but this is
least preferred.
